Sony Projectors March 20, 2014

For this video we rented an amazing villa in the English country side. The challenge was to make all effects right there on set ‘in camera’ using nothing more than three sony 3D projectors, a tiny bit of smoke and mirrors and more than a few night shifts. This was a great project realised with creative agency Hugo & Cat. One of my favourite times shooting with Director Jon Sykes.

Motionflow – YoYos! June 10, 2014

Another fun video I did with director Jon Sykes. We had to convey the message of Sony’s motionflow, where more frames are added to give you a crisper image. We found Krisztian Kaluzsa and Luke Roberts, two professional yoyoers,… Yoyokateers,… uhm: Yoyo Players! There were fantastic and there tricks breathtaking. The video was shot with up to 500 frames per second in full HD. Happy days!

IFA showcase June 10, 2014

IFA is one of the biggest consumer electronics trade shows. For Sony I realised this showcase video. We went shooting the day the show opened and had the video up and online the afternoon of the same day.

Smart TVs June 10, 2014

A few years back, Sony introduced their first internet connected TV sets. They asked us to produce a short online video that showed of all the things these TVs can do. Together with amazingly talented Art Director Davide Melis, I developed the concept of a CGI film with a realistic feel.

Smarter TVs June 10, 2014

I don’t know, if they still have this feature. But for a while at least Sony had a TV on the market that actually watched you. It knows when you are in the room and actually when you are looking at it or not. The TV then adjusts the display level to save energy. Unfortunately, they didn’t listen to my suggestion of calling this TV HAL. Too bad.

Multiroom (folk version) June 10, 2014

This was one of the first times I produced and developed and fully CGI generated video. I worked with amazing 3D artists Mark Mathieson and Oliver Osborne. The music was composed and recorded live in studio by Sebastian Kiefer.
